The first game was played at Witney town on Saturday 17th January. Hazil said it was a friendly game, with a warm welcome cheery atmosphere good spirit epitomised by the camaraderie when they all had refreshments mingling together.
The result was in Hanborough’s favour 2 rinks each with us winning by a score of 49-42, thanks to all players from both teams who made this a fun afternoon.
The second game played yesterday Saturday 28th March where we had a warm welcome from Simon Anstey. It also meant that there were a few different members from their original side but all were friendly replacements. Thanks to our members for the support and remembering raffle prizes which helped us get to a total of £53 profit which together with our “home” match fees meant a total of £101 for the outing as well as a fun afternoon we also had a win in all 4 games and an overall score of 65-35, winning was a bonus for a lovely afternoon.
Once again Hazil and all Hanborough members who played wish to thank everyone at Witney Town for their hospitality and friendship and hope to repeat again later on in the year.
